Una Familia Complicada starts with a family that has everything: money, status, a respected name and, naturally, enough buried secrets to destroy all of it.
After patriarch Alberto Navarro suddenly dies, his widow, Doña Telma (Adriana Barraza), takes control of the family fortune – and her five very complicated adult children. Unfortunately, keeping the Navarro empire together is about to become a full-time job. Betrayals, shady business dealings, forbidden relationships, marriages of convenience and some increasingly questionable decisions quickly turn the family succession into delicious chaos.
But while Telma battles to protect the reputation she spent a lifetime building, she’s facing something she can’t intimidate, negotiate with or throw out of the house: the early stages of Alzheimer’s. And as her memory begins to betray her, keeping the Navarro family’s secrets buried may become the hardest battle of all.
