Three generations, same heartbreak, same fight – and this time, someone’s trying to break the cycle.
Gerluce, Lígia, and Joélly are women bound by more than blood. Each faced teenage pregnancy, each was abandoned, and each was forced to rebuild from nothing in the Chacrinha slum of São Paulo. Gerluce grew up watching her mother struggle, only to live out the same story when she had Joélly just as her future was about to begin. Now older, tougher, and running on pure determination, she pours everything into work, caring for her sick mom, and making sure her daughter gets the life she never had. But when Joélly ends up pregnant too, Gerluce refuses to let history repeat itself. Not this time.
Her personal life? Equally messy. A cheating married ex, a dangerous drug dealer who wants her, and a life that never slows down.
Then everything cracks open.
When Lígia’s health keeps declining despite taking her medication religiously, Gerluce uncovers something chilling – the drugs meant to keep people alive might be fake. Teaming up with her best friend Viviane, she digs deeper and stumbles into a massive corruption scheme led by her own boss, Arminda, and the powerful Santiago Ferette. Publicly, he’s a hero funding life-saving medicine. Privately, he’s profiting off counterfeit drugs and putting entire communities at risk, with Arminda right beside him, polished on the outside and ruthless underneath.
Now Gerluce is staring down a system built to crush people like her – and it’s bigger, richer, and more dangerous than she imagined.
With no proof and everything to lose, the risk is real. But when she discovers a hidden stash of money inside Arminda’s mansion, the lines between right and wrong start to blur. Justice feels close, but the path to get there might cost her everything she’s trying to protect.
How far do you go when doing the right thing isn’t clean anymore?
A story about survival, dignity, and breaking cycles that were never meant to be broken – even if it means stepping into the gray to fight back 💋
