Pienso en ti (2023) serves musical mayhem, romantic angst, and star power from Dulce María and David Zepeda. Think La La Land, but en español and way more dramatic.
Emilia (Dulce María) has the pipes and the passion when it comes to chasing her dreams – even if her mom wants her nowhere near a stage. Enter Ángel (David Zapeda), a moody music legend turned recluse, and the very icon Emilia grew up idolizing. When fate (and a killer vocal run) throws them together, it’s more than just a meet-cute, it’s the emotional remix both of them desperately needed.
Emilia breathes new life into Ángel’s career while torching her own in the process, and let’s just say the applause isn’t unanimous. Between spotlight-stealing rivals, messy family chaos, and a romance that simmers with real emotion, this musical duo is equal parts passion, heartbreak, and backstage drama.
What hit all the right notes:
Let’s start with the obvious: Dulce María is a sensation. She brings charm and sweetness to Emilia, and her golden voice carries the musical moments with real heart. And as usual, David Zepeda holds his own, this time as the emotionally wounded producer with a past. Plus, the soundtrack is actually good.
Where it lost the rhythm:
Every novela runs on one big secret – we know the drill. But mamá held onto this one like it paid her rent, and the writers stretched it way past its expiration date. The drama started spicy, then slid straight into “girl, wrap it up” territory.
Worth watching?
Absolutely. It brings the drama, sprinkles in lighter beats, and it’s one of those rare novelas where the side plots don’t send you reaching for your phone.
Telebesitos Tip 💋
This one’s for when you’re craving drama with a soft landing. It won’t change your life, but it might have you humming the theme song by episode 3.
