Perro amor (2010) is Telemundo’s glossy U.S.-produced novela that throws betrayal, ambition, and romantic chaos into Miami’s swankiest cocktail shaker. A remake of the 1998 Colombian hit, this version stars Carlos Ponce, Maritza Rodríguez, and Ana Lucía Domínguez serving drama with a side of palm trees.
The show centers on Antonio “El Perro” Brando (Carlos Ponce) and Camila Brando (Maritza Rodríguez), two cousins who made a twisted bet as teenagers: they could sleep together and with others, but falling in love was strictly off-limits. Carlos Ponce plays Antonio Brando, a rich playboy whose twisted game of seduction with his cousin hits a snag when he falls for Sofía (Ana Lucía Domínguez) – a woman with actual morals, gasp! Suddenly the rules of romance roulette start to change.
Packed with revenge, redemption, and Miami glam, this novela delivers 129 episodes of steamy confrontations and scandalous reveals, and yes, everyone looks like they just stepped out of a telenovela catalog (because they did).

Telebesitos Tip 💋
If you’re here for gorgeous leads, steamy scenes, and some classic Telemundo messiness, Perro amor delivers. Just maybe lower your expectations when it comes to storytelling… this one’s juuust problematic enough to keep you side-eyeing your TV while still thirsting after the cast.
