Synopsis

In Papá a toda madre, Sebastián Rulli trades in his party-boy persona for diapers and dad jokes – well, sort of. He plays Mauricio, a charming toy company exec who ironically hates kids… until one crashes his wedding claiming to be his daughter. Cue the chaos, canceled vows, and a crash course in parenting.

This light-hearted Televisa novela follows Mauricio and three other equally unprepared dads as they stumble, grow, and occasionally cry through the wild terrain of fatherhood. From strict lawyers to stay-at-home dads, and even a gay couple navigating parenthood in a groundbreaking storyline, the show mixes heart, humor, and a dash of social progress.

Expect barrio drama, unexpected romance (with Maite Perroni as the brilliant Renée), and emotional glow-ups that’ll make you cheer and tear up in equal measure. It’s a love letter to modern fatherhood.

Review

We love dads who cry pretty:
For all its tropes and clichés, Sebastián Rulli and Maite Perroni are fire. The chemistry between these two leads carried the show through some of its more predictable turns. There’s an undeniable warmth and humor to the series that makes it very easy to enjoy.

Where it they play it by the book:
Stop us if this sounds familiar: a clueless playboy CEO suddenly discovers he has a daughter, and his whole world flips upside down. It’s not exactly groundbreaking material. But with a relatively shorter run (103 episodes, lol) and leads this charming, it’s pretty easy to forgive the recycled setup.

Worth watching?
If you’re in the mood for a breezy novela that won’t emotionally wreck you, Papá a toda madre is a winner. It may not change your life, but it will give you a few warm fuzzies along the way.

Telebesitos Tip 💋
This one’s giving “dad tries his best” energy in the best way. Papá a toda madre takes a tired setup and injects it with a bit of charm, heart, romance and just enough family chaos to keep things lively.
