La Bandida (2019) is TV Azteca’s fiery period drama inspired by the real-life Griselda Blanco of Mexico. From orphan to queen of the underworld, Graciela Olmos (Sandra Echeverría) builds an empire through grit, charm, and crime proving that power, passion, and danger make a dangerously irresistible mix.
From orphaned outcast to underground queen, Graciela’s glow-up is anything but basic. Left with nothing and widowed way too young, she decides to play the game with zero shame – dipping into a life of booze, bets, and a little light stealing. It doesn’t take long for Graciela to thrive, flipping her shady kingdom into a luxe, 1930s-inspired dating house with secrets in every corner.
Told with two faces and two fierce looks (Julieta Grajales for the gritty rise, Sandra Echeverría for the boss-lady era), this novela dives deep into Graciela’s double life – part romantic matchmaker, part emotional trafficker. Think glitter, danger, and forbidden affairs meets vintage glam and lethal ambition.
La Bandida tells the tale of scandal in satin gloves and heartbreak with highballs.
