Si no te hubiera conocido (If I Hadn’t Met You, 2018) is a Catalan sci-fi drama where a grieving man is given the chance to travel to parallel universes to see how life might have turned out if he’d made different choices. Each leap brings fresh love, pain, and what-ifs, blending romance with mind-bending “what could have been” twists.
Eduard (Pablo Derqui) has it all – loving wife, adorable kids, a picture-perfect life… until one tragic accident flips everything upside down. The twist? He’s the one who caused it (kind of). Crushed by guilt and drowning in grief, Eduard spirals – until a mysterious old woman, Liz Everest (a modern-day bruja with major “scientist-meets-sorceress” vibes), shows up offering a dangerous experiment straight out of a sci-fi novela.
Desperate for redemption or maybe just escape, Eduard says yes – and that one reckless decision sends him down a rabbit hole of secrets, second chances, and existential plot twists. Is Liz the cure for his guilt, or the wildest mistake of his life? Either way, the past, the future, and his reality are about to get a remix.
