Synopsis

Falco (2018) is a Mexican crime drama where a cop wakes up from a 23-year coma to find his family gone, his city changed, and his badge waiting. Justice doesn’t do snooze buttons.

Alejandro Falco (Michel Brown) had it all – swagger, skills, and a badge. But turns out, one little bullet to the head can change everything in a man’s life. After 23 years in a coma, Falco wakes up to a world ruled by Wi-Fi, apps, and people who think cassette tapes are vintage décor. His wife’s remarried, his baby girl’s now a grown woman, and his “cutting-edge” police techniques are basically retro.

But don’t count Falco out just yet. He’s back on the force, rocking his old-school instincts in a high-tech world, and stirring the pot with every step. His new partner is young, sharp, and totally Gen Z. Also, his ex-wife’s new boo just happens to be his new work partner. Awkward. As Falco pulls at the threads of the case that stole two decades of his life, secrets unravel – and this throwback detective might just solve more than cold cases. Classic meets chaos, and Falco’s not done rocking the badge just yet.

Based on: Der letzte Bulle (The last cop, 2010)

Review

Falco had us at “coma cop.”

What worked:
Michel Brown owns this role (as always) . His performance is easily the show’s strongest asset, making even the slower scenes feel anchored in something real.

Worth watching?
If you’re into crime dramas and love watching Michel Brown do his thing (and who doesn’t?), Falco’s worth a casual binge. Think: a moodier version of The Mentalist meets a mid-2000s telenovela – with a modern facelift.

Telebesitos Tip 💋
Hot lead, cool concept, zero commitment. Falco’s a fun fling, not a forever thing.
