If your usual Spanish drama diet consists of hot people with hotter secrets, Antidisturbios (Riot Police, 2020) is here to tear off the glam filter and hit you with the hard stuff. This series dives into the messy, chaotic world of Spain’s riot police and the internal affairs agents trying to take them down. It’s part crime thriller, part social wake-up call, and 100% not for the faint of heart.
The Antidisturbios (Riot Team) crew storms into Madrid’s Lavapiés – loud, loaded, and ready to clear out squatters. But when the dust settles, a man is dead, and the boys in blue are under fire. In a neighborhood where every brick tells a story and every eviction is a war zone, one tragic death unleashes a storm of scandal, suspicion, and reckoning.
Internal Affairs is on the case they’re not here to play nice. Led by a sharp, relentless female agent with something to prove, they’re digging deep into the six riot cops involved, peeling back the layers of bravado, secrets, and maybe even guilt. Was it just a freak accident during a chaotic eviction, or did someone cross the line? Each cop has their own demons, their own truth, and plenty to lose. Meanwhile, the community is DONE staying silent.
Antidisturbios is a slow-burn pressure cooker with sirens, side-eyes, and simmering tension – where justice isn’t black and white, and every revelation hits harder than a riot shield.
