Vai na Fé (Never Give Up, 2023) is a 179-episode telenovela by Rosane Svartman that hits that sweet spot between heart, hustle, and rhythm. Set in the lively neighborhood of Piedade, it’s a story where faith meets funk, and every step forward comes with a test.
At the center is Sol (Sheron Menezzes), a hardworking choir singer and lunchbox vendor who once ruled the baile funk scene before choosing a different path. Life is steady until money gets tight and options run out. That’s when an unexpected opportunity lands in her lap – join the entourage of Lui Lorenzo (José Loreto), a fading pop star clinging to relevance and loving every second of the spotlight.
As Sol steps back into a world she thought she left behind, old emotions come rushing in. She reconnects with Benjamin (Samuel de Assis), the love she never quite let go of, while also being forced to face Theo (Emilio Dantas), a man tied to painful memories she can’t ignore. Between rehearsals, performances, and family responsibilities, Sol walks a tightrope between who she was and who she’s trying to become.
Vai na Fé thrives on that tension – belief versus temptation, past versus present, survival versus purpose. It’s about holding onto yourself when life starts pulling in every direction, and trusting that even when the path gets messy, faith can still carry you through.
