Las pelotaris 1926 is ViX’s 2023 Mexican period drama where three fearless women take on the male-dominated world of Basque pelota, smashing rules, hearts, and glass ceilings along the way.
Meet Chelo (Zuria Vega), Idoia (Claudia Salas) and Itzi (María de Nati), three fierce Basque athletes who are ready to break all the rules in the roaring 1920s. While the world tells them to stay quiet and marry rich, they chase dreams and drama on and off the court.
Serving up scandal, secrets, and sports in equal measure, this show is a vintage cocktail of ambition and rebellion with a fiery feminist twist. From forbidden love affairs to dangerous betrayals, these women throw more than just balls – they toss society’s expectations out the window. Think corsets, cigars, and backhanded volleys of revenge.
Between the sweat, swagger, and slow-burn stares, Las pelotaris 1926 hits harder than a championship match. The stakes are sky high and the styling is gorgeous, but the sisterhood storyline is the real grand slam.
