Synopsis

In De que te quiero, te quiero, Natalia is a sweet small-town girl just trying to live her best life when she crosses paths with Diego, a charming guy with twin brother drama – and yes, the evil twin is very much evil. After a messy meet-cute and some intense flirtation, Natalia falls hard… until twin-from-hell Rodrigo shows up, pretending to be Diego and wrecking everything.

Cue mistaken identities, gaslighting galore, family secrets, and a main couple who just cannot catch a break. But despite the sabotage and maximum drama, love keeps boomeranging back – because when it’s real, de que te quiero, te quiero.

Based on: Carinta Pintada (1999)

Review

Twin Trouble and Telenovela Chaos

What got us rooting:
You could feel Livia Brito was on the very brink of superstardom – charming, heartfelt, and totally magnetic on screen. And Juan Diego Covarrubias, our underrated king, leveled up big time with his first lead in a novela playing not one but two characters. This role was a game-changer for his career, scoring him major awards and announcing him as one of Televisa’s rising leading men.

What made us reach for the remote:
At 176 episodes, the twin time was doing the most. Seriously, you could’ve cut 40 episodes and still kept the story intact without losing a single gasp.

Worth Watching?
Yes – when you’re in the right mood. It’s prime early-2010s Televisa: bright colors, big emotions, and maximum drama. The show knew it was being a little extra, and that’s half the fun.

Telebesitos Tip 💋
If you love seeing rising stars before they become household names, or if you’re a sucker for good twin shenanigans (with just a little “ok that’s insane” sprinkled on top), this one’s a fun watch. Just be ready to skip an episode… or 20, and don’t expect every plot twist to make perfect sense..
