Las Bandidas (2013) is a wild ride through ranch life, romance, and rebellion. Ana Lucía Domínguez leads the charge as Fabiola Montoya, the bold eldest sister of three – each one fiery, fearless, and fed up with their controlling dad, Olegario.
Set in the Venezuelan countryside, this reboot of the 1985 Venezuelan hit Las amazonas features three sisters who break rules and hearts as they chase love, power, and their own dreams, all while dodging family drama and a fierce rivalry with the Irazábal clan. Secrets explode, passions flare, and the Montoya girls prove that being a “bandida” isn’t just about breaking the law – it’s about rewriting the rules.
Based on: Las amazonas (1985)
Three sisters, one ranch, and enough romantic chaos to scare the horses.
What go us hooked, lassoed and dragged:
Ana Lucía Domínguez is a dream. Her performance as Fabiola, the fierce eldest Montoya sister, is pure ride-or-die heroine. She’s tough, passionate, and girlie can rock a ranch look like it’s Milan Fashion Week. Her fiery, enemies-to-lovers tension with Alonso (Marco Méndez) is novela gold – messy, forbidden, and fueled by enough smoldering eye contact to light a bonfire.
Where the trail got a little dusty:
Las Bandidas leans pretty hard into the predictable telenovela playbook – hidden identities, surprise siblings, the usual suspects. You’ll call some of the twists five episodes ahead. If you’re here expecting groundbreaking plot innovation, you’ve taken a wrong turn off the dirt road.
Worth watching?
Absolutely. If you’re in the mood for sweeping ranch views, stubborn cowboys, sisterly chaos, and villains who act like every scene is their Oscar audition, you’re in the right place..
Telebesitos Tip💋
Save this one for when you’re craving a little rancho-core realness. Las Bandidas delivers. Yeehaw and amen.
