La desalmada (2021) charges in from Las Estrellas, kicking up dust with a vengeance-fueled reboot of La Dama de Troya. Starring Livia Brito, José Ron, Eduardo Santamarina, and Marjorie de Sousa, this wild saddles up, slaps on a sombrero, and gallops straight into chaos.
Fernanda Linares (Livia Brito) thought she was stepping into her happily ever after… until tragedy strikes in the most brutal way – her groom is murdered, she’s violated, and her memory’s a blurry mess. Heartbroken and hellbent on revenge, Fernanda’s only mission is to destroy the man who shattered her world.
Rafael (José Ron) is the charming heartthrob with serious golden-retriever energy – and some major baggage. Fernanda falls for him, only to suspect he might be her attacker. YIKES.
With mistaken identities, steamy chemistry, and plot twists wilder than your toxic ex’s apology texts, La Desalmada is a revenge rollercoaster where healing and heartbreak ride shotgun.
Based on: La dama de Troya (2008)
What had us obsessed:
Livia Brito really came into her own in this role. She brought the fire and fragility needed to make Fernanda both fierce and sympathetic. And José Ron – let’s just say total heartthrob mode activated. Their chemistry is undeniable, and the slow-burn romance hits all the right buttons. Plus, it features the legendary Eduardo Santamarina delivering villain excellence – he’s always at his best playing the guy you love to hate.
Worth watching?
Absolutely. If you love a good melodramatic showdown sprinkled with steamy moments and a little ranch-core aesthetic, you’ll feel right at home here.
Telebesitos Tip 💋
This one’s a full-blown ranch opera: expect epic love, epic betrayal, and epic hats. It occasionally slows to a bouncy trot, but ride it out – it’s worth hanging on ’til the last rodeo.
